BIBHITAKI（ビビタキ) 

ハーブの説明 

サンスクリット語でビビタキは「Vibheetaki」と呼ばれ、「bheeta」は恐怖を、「Vibheeta」は恐怖がないことを意味します。Vibheetaki "という言葉は、病気の恐怖を取り除く果実という意味です。ビビタキまたはバヘダは、アムラ、ハルデ、バヘダという3つのミロバラン（果実、トリファラ-3つの果実）の重要なハーブの1つで、ラテン名はTerminalia Belliricaです。 アーユルヴェーダでは、ビビタキは熱性で、体のビタとカファのドーシャ（湿気）を減らすのに役立ちます。ビビタキは天然の下剤であり、消化剤である食物繊維を含んでいるため、便秘に関連する問題と戦います。また、痔や肛門の痛みの解消にも役立ちます。ビビタキパウダーは、同量のハルデとアムラ（トリファラ）パウダーと一緒に摂取すると、体内の毒性を除去し、各器官を若返らせます。アーユルヴェーダでは、喉の痛みを和らげ、喉の炎症を抑え、咳や風邪を予防し、免疫力を高めるために、早朝にビビタキパウダーを蜂蜜と一緒に使用することが推奨されています。ビビタキパウダーを毎日夜に温かい水やバターミルクと一緒に飲むと、脾臓の腫れを抑えることができます。ビビタキに含まれるタンニンやその他の成分は、脳の活動を活発にし、脳の働きを高める効果があります。

外見的には、Bibhitakiパウダーをぬるま湯でペースト状にしたものをニキビや黒ずみに塗り、乾いたら洗うとよいでしょう。同様に、ホワイトサンダルウッドパウダーとビビタキパウダーをローズウォーターでペースト状にしたものを、装飾品による肌のアレルギーに塗ると効果があります。また、目の周りの余分な熱を吸収するために、Bibhitakと普通の冷たい水で作ったペーストを両目の周りに塗ります。

Bibhitaki

HERB DESCRIPTION 

In Sanskrit, Bibhitaki is known as “Vibheetaki” in which ‘bheeta’ means fear and ‘Vibheeta’ means lack of fear. The whole word “Vibheetaki” means the fruit that takes away the fear of disease. Bibhitak or Baheda is one of an important herb in three myrobalans (fruits, Triphalla – 3 fruits), i.e. Amla, Harde and Baheda having Latin Name – Terminalia Bellirica.  As per Ayurveda Bibhitak is hot in potency and helps to reduce Vitiated Pitta & kapha dosha’s (Humors) of the body. Bibhitaki is a natural laxative and contains dietary fibres which are digestive agents & fights with constipation related problems. This also helps to eliminate problem of piles and anal pain. Bibhitaki powder when taken with Harde and Amla (triphalla) powder in equal amount helps to remove toxicity from body and rejuvenate each organ. Ayurveda mentions use of Bibhitaki powder with honey early morning to sooth sore throat, reduce throat inflammation, cough & cold and increase immunity. Bibhitaki powder when taken daily at night time with warm water or buttermilk helps to reduce spleen swelling. The tannins and other ingredients in Bibhitaki have good positive effect on brain activity increasing its working capacity.

Externally it is suggested to make a paste of Bibhitaki powder with warm water over acne or black spots, wash when it gets dried up. Similarly white sandalwood powder and Bibhitaki powder paste prepared with rose water has a positive action when applied over skin allergy problems due to ornaments. Also to absorb extra heat from the eye region a paste made from Bibhitak and plain cool water is applied around each eye.
